Prof. E.A. Salako is a Professor of Plant Pathology. Until his appointment as the pioneer Dean of the new Faculty of Agriculture in April 2006 he was the Dean, School of Agriculture and Agriculture Technology, Federal University of Technology , Minna.

      Prof. E.A. Salako attended OAU, Ile-Ife from 1969 - 1972 and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA form 1976 to 1978. He started his academic career in 1972 as Research Officer in the  Federal Department of Agricultural Research (now National Cereals Reserach Institute) and later

moved to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Faculty of Agriculture, where he taught from 1979 to 1987. He subsequently transfered to the Federal University of Technology, Minna (1987 - 2006) .

      Prof. E.A. Salako has over 40journals articles and two books to his credit and attended well over 50 national and international conferences (in which he presented papers in most of them). Born on 18th October, 1949. 

      Prof. E.A. Salako hails from Ogbomoso North LGA in Oyo State and is married with four (4) children.
