UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA

 

The University of Abuja (UofA) was established on January 1st, 1988 as a dual-mode university with the mandate to run both conventional and distance learning academic programmes. It was the first University in the country to assume such a dual mandate at inception. The university currently has nine faculties, the College of Health Sciences, a School of Remedial Studies,  a Centre for Distance Learning, an Institute of Education, and a School of Postgraduate Studies, among others. All existing programmes, centres and institutes are highlighted on the drop-down menu.

The UofA of Nigeria has a student population of 55, 364 and a staff strength of 3, 362.

To develop an institution of higher learning that combines academic excellence with the pursuit of the unity of Nigeria.

 

Our Mission

To provide instructional, research, and public service programmes appropriate to a university of high standing that guarantees academic excellence and to operate a strong and virile distance learning component that ensures equal educational access to a large constituency.

More so, in order to fulfil the mission of the University the objectives of the University of Abuja have been clearly spelt out in section 1(3) of its law [University of Abuja Act – 106(1992) cap U2 LFN (2004)]. Specifically, the objectives of the University shall be:

  • How to create and run online shows, adapt your performance techniques and
  • Mentoring and troubleshooting and post-training support from Jason
